I must say this has been one of the best summer's of my life!!! I love the place that we are at with our family, my career and our lives!! We have been soaking up every moment of summer, hence me not blogging sinc May!!

Miss Utah 2010- The most successful year for me as a coach and UVU! Above Christina Lowe current Miss Utah on the night she won her talent preliminary. Watch for her at Miss America, she will be amazing!

Miss UVU 2010 Valerie Moon, and basically my little sister. She won evening wear in this amazing gown we found in Las Vegas in March and then also won Talent, with the piece I choreographed for her. It was a highlight in my pageant coaching career! I love her and can't wait to cheer her on in Hoopeston, IL for the Sweethearts pageant!

My sweet Grandma Tooke passed away this summer. Unexpectedly but it was so nice to celebrate her life and see my Tooke extended cousins!

Oakley Rodeo!! My good friend Heather sang the National Anthem and invited us to join. It was so fun and I am now her unofficial agent and will be booking her for singing engagments in the future.

Thanks to a persuasive husband, a new pair of running shoes and our good friends running with us... I ran my first 5k! I know not that big of a deal but I loved it!

Las Vegas again, yes a week later! But we flew.....

Our mascots did amazing!!

Overall our Dance Team won 1st place Team Dance in our division, 2nd place Game day routine against all divisions and won a Gold paid bid to Nationals. Cheer won the at large bid to Nationals and the Mascots won Best All Around and a Gold bid to Nationals.

I threw a surprise party for Brock the day of his birthday July 31st at our neighborhood park. Many friends and families traveled to come surprise Brock. It was so much fun but hectic trying to get him out of the house. So I rented him a Harley for the weekend, he was in heaven!!

We had a wonderful party-food, family and cake! My neighbor made this cake, it was to die for!!!! She even made a little one for Stella to dive into. Of course the theme was pink and princesses! It definatley was more for brock and I than her, but we know she loved it! We then headed off the next day to Disneyland for a week so pictures will be up soon. I am now getting ready to leave for Dancing With The Stars first thing tom. morning!! Watch ABC 4 @ 7pm Tuesday May 18th for UVU Ballroom team and some of the finest Audience members around!

Here are a few things that Stella is into these days. I am mostly doing this for my own needs so that I can remember what she was like at her 1 year old.

- She loves to laugh, she laughs at funny things on tv or when anyone makes a funny face. It's hillarious!

-She doesn't like to be left alone, when one of us walks out of the room she screams. But then finds herself happy as a clam moments later.

-She is a momma's girl, she can say mom!

-Her best friend is Chesney, they can play all day if I'd let them.

-She is very calm and takes in everything around her.

-I can let her sit on a blanket outside and she won't move from the blanket because she hates the feel of the grass.

-She gets so excited she shakes and clinches her teeth, probably the cutest thing ever.

-She can stand assisted and army crawls with the best of them.

I will be the first one to admit that I thought I was unfit to have children in this world!! I didn't have much experience when I was growing up with infants and I was always just trying to adjust to the new family environments I was put in, so little time went into dreaming about becoming a mother. I never had a "real" sister, yes many step sisters (6 to be exact) some of them were and are still great! But I never really had that sisterly bond or opportunity to have a relationship like that with family. I guess that is why I was always involved with some type of "girl" organization, dance, cheer, pageants and many great "girl" friendships. So when I found out I was having a girl I was shocked and scared, didn't think I would connect with her or know how to have a relationship with her. Boy was I wrong!!!!

I was sent Stella for many reasons and I am loving finding out new reasons all the time. Tonight was one of them. I always wanted those famous- boys go out to priesthood and girls get to have dinner, girl talks go shopping nights during conference while growing up. Well after hearing today's conference talk on the importance of Mother and Daughter relationships I thought "What am I waiting for!" So Stella and I had a girl's night out! So fun and of course not a lot was involved but all I can say is how grateful I am for my little girl. I look forward to more fun mom/daughter events. Tonight was one of those nights that you stand back and think.... "Oh that's why Heavenly Father did that." I love this time of year, love conference and love my Stella!

We leave for Florida, Daytona Beach to be exact in a week and a half! First time for Stella to ride an airplane, first time traveling with a baby and not to mention overseeing 5o college students in a party town! Wish us luck! As you can see Stella can't wait to wear her new swim suit!

We decided to get out of the cold and take a quick trip to St. George, just the 3 us! It was a lot of fun!

We have added 2 new baby girls to my side of the family, Taylor Ann Tooke (on the left) born Dec. 31st and Brielle Ann Tooke born Feb. 15th. Stella can't wait for her cousins to get bigger so they can play with her!!

Silly Stella, she is just waking up here! Her head of hair is ridiculous and she now has 6 teeth!

Last but not least, it was my Mom's birthday on March 2nd! Happy Birthday! Love ya~!

I took Stella to her 9 month dr. appt and they had to prick her foot, she just looked at the nurse like what are you doing and didn't make a peep.....hilarious! She pulled the blue bandage off within minutes. She is doing well 19.5 lbs and 29 inches. Time for a new car seat the dr. said. She is a little girl now and we are loving every minute of it!!

As many of you know my second family are my teams at UVU. This time of year gets extremely busy with fund-raising, practices, games and then January hits and we go full speed until the end of April! We got through this last weekend with my UVU Drill Invitational, and cheer was hosting a UCA competition. I feel like I have a little room to breathe and can think about Christmas. I love them, and wouldn't have it any other way!

I am hosting our annual UVU Drill Invitational Dec. 11th and 12th, 2009. It is a fundraiser for the UVU Dance Team. We offer the opportunity for vendors to come and sell their merchandise to all the schools that are coming! It is a huge event and a great opportunity to get your stuff out there! There is a booth rental fee but get to me quick, as we don't allow more than one vedor that offers the same merchandise.

Let me know if any of you crafty and creative moms out there want to jump on this opportunity! We have over 30 schools attending! So it should be worth your time!

Last Friday the high school football season got started. My cousins, Bronson and Corbin play for Timpview so we went to their game first and then to the Spanish Fork game at half time. Brock's brother coaches there and Brock loves to go to the games, I however feel like I am reliving my past everytime I am there! Anyway Stella experienced her first of many football games, thanks to a mom of one of my dance team girls she was appropriately dressed in her football headband and red outfit! We are gearing up for the big game next week-Go UTES!

Many things have happened with the Condie's lately and all I can sum it up to is that we have been very blessed. With the birth of little (or should I say healthy, let's just say nursing is going extremely well!) Stella, moving, the 4th of July and family I am so grateful for this time in our lives.

Here is a picture on the 4th of July at the parade. Her shirt says Miss America, I did enter her into her first baby contest (and the only one until she's 18 according to Brock!) But she won 2nd in the costume category, she had a little crown headband and red, white and blue shoes I made. She looked darling!

Welcome to Motherhood!!

I'm Alive.... barely! Yes I did finally have this baby and here's the watered down version of getting her here. Started Wednesday April 29th mid afternoon went in two different times to get a treatment to help me dilate.... didn't work. But it did however put me into labor at 2 am Thursday morning. Went to the hospital at 4am continued contracting on my own but still dilated at a 1. They started me on pitocin, got the epidural and still at a 1! Last resort was this procedure that manually dilates you, lots of fun! Finally was at a 4 24 hours after starting this whole process. After consulting with the Dr. and divine intervention from my sweet husband we decided to go ahead and do a c-section. And it is a good thing because the baby's head was lodged in my pelvic bones and I wouldn't have been able to get her out anyway! We then welcomed Stella Lynne Condie into the world at 6:58pm 8lbs. 12oz. 19 inches long. We stayed in the hospital for 4 days and nights and we needed it! Brock and I seriously should be on a reality show on first-time parents, it is hilarious! All is well and Stella is doing great, I am still recovering and taking one hour at a time. We took her to her 2 week check-up today and she is now 9lbs. 8oz. and 22 3/4 inches long. She is a big girl with a big personality, she already holds her binky in her mouth by herself! A little update to my blogging family! I went to the Dr. today and still not a whole lot of progress. Which is ok, I have come to terms with her being stubborn. Brock and I are already trying to strategise on how to handle her! I will go in on Wednesday and they will hopefully get things going, so maybe Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed!

Yes, as you can see the baby ticker on the side has reached a big fat 0!!!!!! I am due today and still no baby Stella! I even had a false alarm..... I went in to get a non-stress test this morning anyway to make a long story short I thought my water had broken so they admit me. I get into the gown get my game face on thinking "ok this baby is coming today!" and they send me home. So I am back to square one!! We will keep you posted!

New Teams and Baby update!

This past weekend we had our UVU Dance Team auditions. Can I just say how amazed I am at the talend we have in Utah! It was somewhat of a pay off day to see all the time and dedication I have put into my little job here, we had 98 girls show up for the audition!!! I know, I was a little overwhelmed and sorting through that many didn't even give me a sign of labor! We ended up with an amazing team and several others I would have loved to take and hope they come back next year. The fun part is that 13 of my returning girls made it and will come back for another great year!!I have posted those new UVDT members and UVU Cheer members on our website www.uvu.edu/spiritsquad. We also had cheer try-outs a couple weeks ago and that too was extremely successful, 40+ girls and enough guys to choose from! We have an amazing and talented squad with 11 guys and 12 girls with a total of 15 returning members! I hope that labor is this successful, ahhhh !!

And as you can guess I still have not had the baby, the official due date is Thursday but you better believe that we are trying everything under the sun! My doctor estimates an 8 pounder!!! Wish me luck!!

Another week... another win! I am so excited for my dance team, they competed down in florida this week and placed 2nd going into finals and ended up third in the Dance Division 1. I unfortunately couldn't be there because of this stubborn baby who won't come out, I do have a week or so left but am getting a little impatient, it's been nine months already! Anyway I couldn't be more proud of this years team and it just reminds me that I am truly lucky to have such a great job and work with these great students! Go UVDT! Moving, baby showers and National Champs!

I have been in a whirlwind of chaos the last several weeks! But I am not complaining, I have loved every minute of it and am also savoring the freedom I have with this little girl still inside me! I have never felt the love by friends and family so much from help with moving and meals being brought in and good friends throwing showers for me and little Stella (that is her name, or so Brock says until we see if she really looks like a Stella!). I have also been overwhelmed with pride for the UVU Cheer Squad and them taking 1st at the USA National Competition last weekend. We also had try-outs this week and I had all but one want to return! This has been such a great time in my life and I can't wait for it to get a little better (hopefully sooner than later- please come out baby!)

Last Saturday my Mom's wonderful family threw me a baby shower! As you can see the day was a success! Thanks for everyone who helped! A couple weeks before that the Condie side also threw a shower for me, I unfortunately don't have any pics from that one because we were in the middle of moving!! But thank you to all my wonderful family members for helping me prepare to bring this little baby here!

Our good friends made this darling diaper cake with everything the baby will need! It must have taken hours thanks guys!

My cousin Jerica came, I haven't seen her in years! You can tell she is definately a relative!

What to do..

I'm not one to post really personal stuff, at least I think I'm not!? You just never know who's going to pop on here and read or look at your pics, right?? I haven't posted much about my pregnancy other than a few pics because it really has been a good one, I can't complain. But for some reason (probably the reason being I am pregnant...) I feel like I need a little ranting and raving or crying and sobbing. Either way my emotions are on a constant roller coaster ride!

I'm hoping this might bring some relief. I really feel like I am at my wits end! I have a little over 4 weeks left and not to mention we are living out of our house (we are trying to get into a new home before the baby comes, yikes!) I seriously don't know how I am going to make it to the whole birthing part of the pregnancy and then have this thing come out of me, that is mine and I can't just give her to someone else when she starts crying? Because that is what I have done with other babies and I have never been one to stop a baby from crying! So as you can see I am a little nervous, anxious and a million other emotions all the time (really don't know why Brock is still hangin around!) I guess I'm asking is this chaos of feeling ill prepared but that it can't come soon enough, normal?????????

UVU Dance Team in Concert!!

So my endless plugs of voting for UVoice paid off last night! My little brother Trevor was announced the New Student Body President at UVU! I couldn't be a more proud sister! I even gave him the lucky tie he is wearing!! Some have said the "Tooke" curse is now broken, let's hope so! After my older brother lost the Student Body President election in 2000, Trevor loosing the VP of Clubs in 2007 and Me always coming up 2nd best at Miss Utah, it was time to see the luck turn our way!! Everyone asks how a Utah County girls can love the UTES!?! Well let me do a little explaining......

I graduated from the U (and loved it), My husband played football at the U, I have an uncle that coached football at the U and now coaches at the "other"school, (we still love him!), we have made so many great friends at the U and finally when you get to experience moments like these below, you become hooked! I have been to both the Fiesta Bowl and the Emerald Bowl and hope that every football fan gets to experience games like those!

Here's an update on what's happening with the Condie's.

I am now 13 weeks pregnant and am definitely feeling it. My pants are getting pretty tight and I am in the denial stage of what to wear. I haven't been very sick at all, so I am grateful for that. I am getting some of my energy back!!

One good thing is that the Utes won over the weekend! Here is me and my "football going" buddy Nicole! We sit and chat, get a bite to eat and even get more into the game then our husbands!

Here are a few different ways I spent my Birthday, which was Friday Oct. 3rd. I didn't really go out to eat this many times in one day this was over a 3 day period. I was so happy so many friends and family wanted to celebrate with me, thanks for a great birthday~

You got it, I am pregnant! I am about 8 1/2 weeks along, due the end of April. We are extremely thrilled and still can't really believe it. Our little family of 3 will now be 4!

I wanted to give you a quick update on our lives! Thanks to one of my dearest friends Tiff, I got these pics off her blog because I am unable to download pics! We stayed in Salt Lake last week for Miss Utah, one of the great things about my job is I got to help Miss UVU get ready for Miss Utah. I called in Tiff because she is amazing and she also knows a thing or two about singing more than me! We produced a 3rd runner-up to Miss Utah! Christina Lowe, she did amazing! The best thing about her is that she was herself!

This year we headed down to Lake Powell with Brock's cousin and their family. We had a blast and were so grateful we got asked to go! Kyson our nephew is showing one of his many talents in the talent show. He is doing the sprinkler dance, his other talents include singing "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me." He is hillarious and I have taught him to say that I am his favorite aunt! And that is picture of me and then Brock wakeboarding.

The studio I work at had their end of the year recital a few weeks ago. I had such a fun year because I got to teach my niece Brynn. I also love the mini evolution girls they have the best moms ever and I only hope to be a cool as mom as they all are one day! I have gotten to be such great friends with them and all of their daughters are so talented.

Have you ever been so frustrated with your computer that you never want to touch it again. Well after our second trip to Disneyland with the Condie's I put together this really cute slide show to post on the blog well every time I would get ready to copy it my computer would shut down. It happened to me 3 times........ I was livid. Since then I have not touched my computer at home and while I'm at work I rarely have time to post. So that explains my absences to the blogging world!

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

We had a great weekend, I don't have any pics but hopefully I will get a new computer soon and post some! We spent it helping Brandon and Sadie move into a beautiful new home in Spanish Fork, I think I was more excited to help them move then I ever would be to move myself.

Disneyland round 1

This is how we started out our Disneyland trip with my mom. We look like the All American Family-how cute..... We had a blast and rode every single ride at least twice! Some of you may be wondering who the cute girl is standing next to Trevor. That is Jess we hope she becomes part of our family one day!! We stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland, it is so much fun to be right there in the middle of everything!

This is how we ended our trip. These are all the kids (husbands, grandkids, etc.) It was "A trip of a lifetime" as my mom said. Thanks Mom for the Best Christmas present ever!

Baywatch

Tomorrow we leave for the big D-land (Disneyland)! Can't wait but I have to be honest I don't know how excited I am about long lines and the hot sun. We recently got back from Florida with the UVU Dance Team for Nationals. We went to Universal Studios one day and it about did me in! I came home sun burnt and sick! But we had a great time on the beach in Daytona and the girls did a great job, they ended up getting 3rd in the Challenge Cup.

So this is me and Brock and a couple of my girls who got Boogie Boards down there. We were doing awesome catching some good waves when all of the sudden I noticed I was about half a mile away from everyone. I started swimming back to our part of the beach and was not going anywhere. I looked up and there was a lifeguard truck, sirens, flags waving the whole rescue procedure going on. Brock was yelling at me to come over by him but I really couldn't. Then a lifeguard throws his life preserver over his shoulder and comes running to my rescue! Little did I know that I was stuck in a rip current. I am fine but my entire team and the rest of the people on the beach had a good laugh!

Poor Chesney

Our little one Chesney has had a hard couple of weeks. I took him in to get fixed and they called back not being able to do the surgery because his blood work came back showing that he has kidney failure. To say the least we were devastated! This is our child, for now and I can't even imagine how it would feel with a real human being! After more lab work, x-rays, a second opinion from a different vet and an ultrasound they have said that his kidney failure is in the first stages. We have changed his diet and have been really watching him. If anyone has had a similar experience I would love some advice. Keep Chez in your thoughts!

Goodbye to a Utah tradition

I heard on the news that the Snelgrove store in Sugar House was closing...... I thought no big deal I can buy it at the store anyway. Then my husband calls me from work frantically telling me the same thing he was so worried of how I would be. What I didn't hear in the story is that Dryer's bought them out and there will soon be no more Snelgrove Ice Cream!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the store and bought my two faves Burnt Almond Fudge and Canadian Vanilla. There is just something about this ice cream, it slowly melts in your bowl and still tastes amazing even if it's been in your fridge for a while and it tastes like it's homemade! I think it is the only kind of Ice Cream my Grandma Garrick ever had in her fridge.

Hurry go and stock up~!

Since my life pretty much evolves around college students I find myself having alot of fun all of the time! I guess I am pretty lucky to be around these girls so much, they are always finding ways to make me laugh or make fun of me. This is in Vegas having the time of our lives at Hard Rock!

Exciting Times!

I wanted to just hit on a few highlights in our lives for the last couple of weeks. First being Miss America! As many of you may know I tried several times to go to Miss America and a couple of times I came so close that I could literally taste it! I was pleased with the outcome of Miss Michigan winning. The second being the Superbowl... what a fun game. I am a lover of football and food, so two great combninations. Miss America and Superbowl were fun events to watch and spend time with family. The third being the passing of Gordon B. Hinkley. Brock works for the LDS Church in the Security Department and so he has been working really long hours but at the same time gaining many memorable experiences. After pulling a 15 hour day on Saturday, the day of the funeral he came home so sick. In a way we experienced his passing in a very different way that everyone else did. But one things for sure he was a great man. And I have to say that when they showed the people shaking canes I was overcome with emotion. I am so thankful for our church and Brock's ability to work for such a great organization.

I will be leaving this Saturday for Las Vegas with the UVU Dance Team for their first National Collegiate Competition. Between our schedules we rarely see or talk to eachother. But I am not complaining, We love what we do and we are so grateful to even have jobs! Lastely my sister-in-laws and mother-in-law all got together for a birthday lunch at the cheesecake factory that is what this picture is below. I never had sisters growing up so I now feel spoiled to have 3 from the Condie side!

Happy New Year, a few weeks late! The beginning of the year for us seems to always be a busy one. Every year since I started directing the UVU Dance Team we have hosted a High School Drill Team competition. We do it as a fundraiser for the girls to go to two different National Competitions! This year we had 42 schools attend. It is the most stressful two days of the entire year but I guess it is good to get it over with in the first week of January!! I am also directing the UVU Cheer Squad so we hosted a state cheer competition yesterday. We only had 17 schools attend to say the least that one was a breeze! The next 4 months are the busiest of the year with traveling with the dance team, try-outs, studio competitions and on top of that we get to go to Disneyland (twice). I will hopefully be more consistent with keeping all you who check up on me in the know! Here's a few pics of how we spend our New Year's..... at a UVU Basketball game.

Christmas a little early.....

This year we had Christmas with my mom a little early. My brother and his wife will be in Cancun for Christmas and so we celebrated it today! We each had a box of gifts so we started opening them up. We each got a Disney character nutcracker (a family tradition) a Disney themed game. Brock and I got High School Musical 2 twister so if anyone wants to play.......then we opened up our Polo shirts. We knew that my mom just didn't want to live out her dream of being apart of the Mickey Mouse Club because we would fit right in our shirts. We then opened a letter that said we are all going to Disneyland the end of Apri. The best part is all expenses paid for! I think the last time we were all on a family vacation with my mom and step family was when I was 13! It was such a nice surprise. I know my mom went to alot of hard work so I want to thank her and tell her how much I love her!! I am so excited along with the rest of the family!

Thanksgiving with the Condies

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving here's a little story line of how our weekend went.......

We had a wonderful dinner at my in-laws. This is just half the family the other half (the kids table is in the other room). After dinner all the sisters talked about the shopping they were going to do the next day. I have never participated in the huge rush of the dayafter thanksgiving sales but after Brock saw a flat screen TV in one of the ads he had to have it........

So this is Brock alone at the front of the line at Target at 10 pm on Thanksgiving night. We didn't even make it an hour.... It was too cold!!

We also went to a dinner with a group of Brocks friends that he played with down at Snow College and the U of U.

A handsome group of guys. It was fun for them to get together.

The UVU Dance Team got their official pictures taken today. Picture day is always a little stressful but lots of fun because they get to wear their new uniforms (this is only one of them I will post the professional ones later.) Until I have children of my own I feel like they are all my daughters, I love them so much! They have also performed Thriller at several community events so I thought I would share their awesome costumes.

I finally did it! I have been wanting to create a blog for some time now and join in on all the fun everyone is having. Now I guess I have a good reason! We just got a new puppy. His name is Chesney. Brock surprised me with him two weeks ago. It was an early 1 year anniversary gift. I guess with one year under our belt he thinks I should start thinking about preparing for children!!! We are loving Chesney and are learning a lot.
